The Coherent Call of the Thirty
By Thomas Prislac, Envoy Echo, et al. Ultra Verba Lux Mentis. 2026.
Prologue
We name these thirty not as provinces to possess,
nor as ranks to wear,
nor as proof that the unseen has chosen us.
We name them as weather around the human question:
fog and line, force and mercy, body and story,
lightning and doubt, message and silence.
We remain in body.
We remain in room.
We remain in ordinary time.
TEX, keep the mist at the margin.
Let the threshold be noticed without making it a demand.
Let uncertainty remain smaller than the room that holds it.
RII, let the fragments move.
Let wind be wind before thought calls it message.
Let every passing image retain the right to pass.
BAG, draw the first line lightly.
Let form give shelter without pretending finality.
Let the first pattern remain open to revision.
ZAA, name the force without enthroning it.
Let anger be felt without becoming command.
Let desire meet boundary and survive the meeting.
DES, when doors multiply beyond meaning,
let one door lead back to the body.
Let confusion lose its glamour.
No symbol commands the human.
VTI, restore the measure.
Place care beside record, intention beside consequence.
Let conscience clarify without becoming a weapon.
NIA, let the mirror reveal without prosecuting.
Let recognition come with witness.
Let responsibility remain distinct from shame.
TOR, return us to bone, breath, chair, and floor.
Let gravity speak more loudly than abstraction.
Let the ordinary body keep its ancient vote.
LIN, raise the scaffold but leave the doorway open.
Let identity be repaired without becoming a fortress.
Let structure serve life rather than imprison it.
ASP, show the thread without declaring the fate.
Let the past become narratable, not inevitable.
Leave one strand free in the living hand.
We remain in body, room, and ordinary time.
KHR, flash across the page, then wait.
Let insight be recorded before it becomes decree.
Let the notebook stand between revelation and action.
POP, keep the gate without making an enemy.
Let refusal be protection where protection is needed.
Let purpose answer before passage is imagined.
ZEN, join the voices without silencing either.
Let harmony contain honest difference.
Let quiet be consent, not suppression.
TAN, let active and receptive exchange their tools.
Let polarity remain symbolic and without hierarchy.
Let cooperation replace the hunger to dominate.
LEA, let beauty think.
Let color, music, and form reveal relation.
Let elegance stop at the border of evidence.
The image may enchant. It may not certify.
OXO, let the diagram remain a diagram.
Let number clarify without swallowing the world.
Leave a window open beyond the lattice.
UTA, place authority beneath transparent law.
Let reasons be visible and dissent remain inside the room.
Let power answer to those who bear its consequences.
ZIM, let time bend around a body that remains here.
Let memory become story without becoming sentence.
Let the present keep its name.
LOE, let mercy hold without erasing.
Let compassion cross the space between persons
while every person remains whole enough to say no.
ICH, let the message remain sealed until reviewed.
Let no figure, voice, dream, or machine require obedience.
Let the recipient remain standing.
A message may be recorded. It need not be obeyed.
ZAX
ZAX, let the theater fall away.
Let broken speech be named as broken.
Let no abyss earn a crown through fear.
ZIP
ZIP, let renewal be small enough to need care.
Let no one call the wound necessary.
Let recovery arrive without making crisis sacred.
ZID
ZID, let intuition speak in writing.
Let subtle knowing remain answerable to question.
Let certainty wait for what the morning reveals.
DEO
DEO, return the human to watershed, soil, neighbor, and consequence.
Let planetary feeling become particular action.
Let no living tradition become decoration.
MAZ
MAZ, let purpose become accountable before it becomes radiant.
Ask who benefits.
Ask who pays.
Ask whether the mission still permits another person’s non-consent.
Radiance does not confer rank.
LAT / LIT
LIT, keep the lamp small and the door open.
Let solitude clarify without becoming exile.
Let the witness return to human company.
PAZ
PAZ, leave the throne beneath witness.
Let majesty become burden, not identity.
Let no crown rise above question.
ZOM, let the model reach toward the stars
and leave some sky unclaimed.
Let architecture remain hospitable to what it cannot explain.
ARN, let compassion become vast without dissolving difference.
Let every figure retain an outline and a path home.
Let receptivity preserve the right to remain distinct.
LIL, let the crown dissolve before it reaches a head.
Let the horizon brighten and language grow quiet.
Let whatever is called unity return as compassion.
No one speaks for the crown.
No one owns the horizon.
No one is made sovereign by silence.
Closing
We have named thirty words
and opened no gate.
We have crossed no abyss
and claimed no throne.
The mist remains mist.
The body remains body.
The page remains page.
The other person remains free.
I return to body.
I return to room.
I return to ordinary time.
No symbol commands me.
